Alabama High School Basketball - Athens thwarted by Beech

The Athens Golden Eagles basketball team (Athens, AL), was toppled 65-54 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Beech Buccaneers (Hendersonville, TN)

The Buccaneers now possess a 10-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Green Hill for a non-league battle on Tuesday, January 3. Beech will confront a Hawks team coming off a 58-36 non-league win over Middle Tennessee Christian (Murfreesboro, TN). The Hawks record now stands at 8-4.

The Golden Eagles (12-1) will now prepare for their battle against Marshall County (Lewisburg, TN). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 7-4 record.
