Rock Point Cougars (Rock Point, AZ) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Aztec Tigers (Aztec, NM), 75-59 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Rock Point upgrades its record to 11-2 on the season. The Cougars host Red Mesa (Teec Nos Pos, AZ) to clash with the Redskins in a 1A North bout on Thursday, January 5. The Redskins go into the bout with a record of 3-8. Red Mesa lost 60-18 in their recent non-league bout against Lee Williams (Kingman, AZ)

Next up, the Tigers clash with the Wingate Bears (Fort Wingate, NM) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Aztec will attempt to upgrade on its 1-10 season record. The Bears go into the bout with a 3-5 record after their 74-70 non-league loss to Thoreau (Thoreau, NM).
