The Barrow Whalers basketball team (Utqiagvik, AK), was overwhelmed 73-38 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the host Philomath Warriors (Philomath, OR)
The Warriors now possess a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ketchikan for a non-league battle on Thursday, December 29. Philomath will confront a Kings team coming off a 88-47 non-league win over Nikiski (Nikiski, AK). The Kings record now stands at 3-0.
The Whalers (0-4) will now prepare for their battle against Nome-Beltz (Nome, AK). The Nanooks come into the 3A Western battle with a 3-1 record. In their last battle, Nome-Beltz trounced Eatonville (Eatonville, WA), 51-48, in a non-league battle.
