The Richland Colts basketball team scored 71 points and held the host Benson County [Leeds/Maddock] Wildcats to 39 in the Colts league triumph on Wednesday.

The Colts now sport a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hatton/Northwood for a B Region 2 contest on Thursday, December 29. Richland will battle a Thunder team coming off a 60-40 non-league loss to Enderlin (Enderlin, ND). The Thunder record now stands at 0-4.

The Wildcats (0-3) will now prepare for their contest against Cavalier (Cavalier, ND). The Tornadoes enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Cavalier triumphed over Langdon (Langdon, ND), 47-36, in a non-league contest.
