In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Catawba Ridge Copperheads basketball team scored a decisive 72-25 triumph over the North Gaston Wildcats.

In their next game, the Copperheads meet the Fairfield Central Griffins (Winnsboro, SC) in a non-league match, on Thursday, December 29. Catawba Ridge will attempt to move on its 10-2 season record. The Griffins enter the match with a 1-9 record after their 64-46 non-league win over York (York, SC).

With the defeat, North Gaston moves to 1-10 on the year. The Wildcats travel to York (York, SC) to meet the Cougars in a non-league match on Thursday, December 29.
