Catlin Gabel Eagles (Portland, OR) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Santiam Wolverines (Mill City, OR), 47-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Catlin Gabel upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Eagles travel to Seaside (Seaside, OR) to play the Seagulls in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The Seagulls go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Seaside won 53-32 in their recent league bout against Astoria (Astoria, OR)

Next up, the Wolverines play the Kennedy Trojans (Mt. Angel, OR) in a 2A Tri-River bout, on Wednesday, January 4. Santiam will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 5-1 record after their 48-25 non-league win over Siuslaw (Florence, OR).
