The Cherokee Warriors (Canton, GA) basketball knocked off the visiting Effingham County Rebels (Springfield, GA), 60-47 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Warriors (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Walton (Marietta, GA). The Raiders go into the non-league test with a 8-3 record. In their last test, Walton notched a victory over Mount Paran Christian (Kennesaw, GA), 80-24, in a non-league test.

The Rebels now own a 8-2 record. They play next when they host McIntosh County Academy for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 3. Effingham County will encounter a Buccaneers squad coming off a 70-41 non-league loss to Jordan Christian Prep (Auburndale, FL). The Buccaneers record now stands at 2-8.
