With the victory, Chico improves its record to 13-6 on the campaign. The Dragons travel to Era (Era, TX) to confront the Hornets in a 2A Region II District 13 challenge on Tuesday, January 3. The Hornets come into the challenge with a record of 4-11.

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Olney Cubs (Olney, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 3. Moran will attempt to improve on its 1-5 season record. The Cubs come into the challenge with a 5-17 record after their 48-30 non-league loss to Coahoma (Coahoma, TX).
