Clarkson/Leigh Patriots (Clarkson, NE) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Fillmore Central Panthers (Geneva, NE), 58-57 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Clarkson/Leigh upgrades its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE) to play the Huskies in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Huskies come into the bout with a record of 4-3. Shelby-Rising City won 64-53 in their recent non-league bout against Fullerton (Fullerton, NE)

Next up, the Panthers play the Fullerton Warriors (Fullerton, NE) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, December 29. Fillmore Central will attempt to upgrade on its 3-5 season record. The Warriors come into the bout with a 2-6 record after their 64-53 non-league loss to Shelby-Rising City (Shelby, NE).
