The Cortland Purple Tigers (Cortland, NY) basketball nipped the visiting Lansing Bobcats (Lansing, NY), 40-38 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Purple Tigers (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Moravia (Moravia, NY). The Blue Devils go into the non-league test with a 6-0 record. In their last test, Moravia got by Dryden (Dryden, NY), 69-40, in a non-league test.
