In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) basketball squad beat the host Crossland Cavaliers (Temple Hills, MD), by a count of 66-49.
The Spartans (4-2) will now prepare for their outing against Suitland (Forestville, MD). The Rams go into the Prince George's County 4A outing with a 5-2 record. In their last outing, Suitland defeated Wheaton (Silver Spring, MD), 49-31, in a league outing.
The Cavaliers now hold a 1-4 record. They play next when they travel to Douglass for a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A outing on Tuesday, January 3. Crossland will clash with a Eagles squad coming off a 47-41 non-league loss to Einstein (Kensington, MD). The Eagles record now stands at 4-5.
