Cuthbertson Cavaliers (Waxhaw, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 71-50 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Cuthbertson upgrades its record to 3-7 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Charlotte Catholic (Charlotte, NC) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 10-2. Charlotte Catholic won 53-40 in their recent non-league bout against Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC)

Next up, the Tigers play the Robinson Bulldogs (Concord, NC) in a 1A/2A Conference 35 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Mount Pleasant will attempt to upgrade on its 8-3 season record. The Bulldogs come into the bout with a 7-4 record after their 70-67 non-league loss to Concord Academy (Concord, NC).
