The Lipscomb Academy Mustangs basketball team scored 70 points and held the visiting Darlington Tigers to 67 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Mustangs now sport a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Pope John Paul II for a Division II-AA Middle contest on Tuesday, January 3. Lipscomb Academy will meet a Knights team coming off a 73-70 non-league win over Cane Ridge (Nashville, TN). The Knights record now stands at 12-3.

The Tigers (8-2) will now prepare for their contest against Varsity Opponent (, ). The enter the non-league contest with a 160-553 record. In their last contest, Varsity Opponent was nudged by IMG Academy Blue (Bradenton, FL), 58-57, in a non-league contest.
