Eastern Ramblers (Washington, DC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Friendly Patriots (Fort Washington, MD), 47-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Eastern upgrades its record to 4-7 on the campaign. The Ramblers host School Without Walls (Washington, DC) to play the Penguins in a DCSAA A bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Penguins come into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Patriots play the Largo Lions (Upper Marlboro, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A bout, on Thursday, January 5. Friendly will attempt to upgrade on its 1-5 season record.
