South Carolina High School Basketball - York knocked off by Fairfield Central

December 28, 2022: Winnsboro, SC 29180

The Fairfield Central Griffins basketball team scored 64 points and held the visiting York Cougars to 46 in the Griffins non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Griffins now sport a 1-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to C.A. Johnson for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 4. Fairfield Central will battle a Hornets team coming off a 59-39 non-league loss to Estill (Estill, SC). The Hornets record now stands at 1-9.

The Cougars (1-9) will now prepare for their contest against North Gaston (Dallas, NC). The Wildcats enter the non-league contest with a 1-10 record. In their last contest, North Gaston was defeated by Catawba Ridge (Fort Mill, SC), 72-25, in a non-league contest.
