Humble Wildcats (Humble, TX) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Galena Park Yellowjackets (Galena Park, TX), 58-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Humble upgrades its record to 5-14 on the campaign. The Wildcats host Atascocita (Humble, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region III District 21 bout on Wednesday, January 4. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 11-6. Atascocita won 68-51 in their recent non-league bout against Bridgeland (Cypress, TX)

Next up, the Yellowjackets play the Northside Panthers (Houston, TX) in a 5A Region III District 19 bout, on Wednesday, January 11. Galena Park will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record.
