Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) and the visiting Gray Stone Day Knights (Misenheimer, NC), saw West Stanly's basketball squad wallop Gray Stone Day by a count of 72-27.

With the victory, West Stanly upgrades its record to 3-8 on the campaign. The Colts travel to Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC) to play the Knights in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 13-0. Chatham Charter won 84-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Albemarle (Albemarle, NC)

Next up, the Knights play the Cabarrus Charter Huskies (Concord, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, December 30. Gray Stone Day will attempt to upgrade on its 0-7 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 71-57 non-league loss to Central Academy (Monroe, NC).
