Merryville Panthers (Merryville, LA) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Hanson Memorial Tigers (Franklin, LA), 65-32 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Merryville upgrades its record to 11-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Bolton (Alexandria, LA) to play the Bears in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 1-9.

Next up, the Tigers play the Highland Baptist Christian Bears (New Iberia, LA) in a 1A District 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Hanson Memorial will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record.
