Winthrop College Prep Academy Spartans (Riverview, FL) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Indian Rocks Christian Golden Eagles (Largo, FL), 61-44 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Winthrop College Prep Academy upgrades its record to 8-5 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Seacrest Country Day (Naples, FL) to play the Stingrays in a non-league bout on Thursday, December 29. The Stingrays come into the bout with a record of 3-7. Seacrest Country Day won 49-45 in their recent non-league bout against Dunnellon (Dunnellon, FL)
