The Joshua Owls basketball team (Joshua, TX), was nudged 47-45 in Wednesday's non-league battle with the visiting Rider Raiders (Wichita Falls, TX)
The Raiders now possess a 13-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Granbury for a 5A Region I District 5 battle on Tuesday, January 3. Rider will battle a Pirates team coming off a 66-55 non-league win over Georgetown (Georgetown, TX). The Pirates record now stands at 10-7.
The Owls (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against Centennial (Burleson, TX). The Spartans come into the 5A Region I District 8 battle with a 15-4 record. In their last battle, Centennial edged Midland (Midland, TX), 66-63, in a non-league battle.
