Varsity Opponent (, ) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting New Hope Leadership Academy Gladiators (Columbia, SC), 50-47 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Varsity Opponent upgrades its record to 155-540 on the campaign. The travel to Balboa School (Escondido, CA) to play the in a non-league bout on Wednesday, December 28. The come into the bout with a record of 13-6. Balboa School lost 65-52 in their recent non-league bout against Dorman (Roebuck, SC)
