The Newton North Tigers (Newtonville, MA) basketball crushed the visiting Newton South Lions (Newton, MA), 64-28 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Tigers (3-0) will now prepare for their test against North (Worcester, MA). The Polar Bears go into the non-league test with a 3-0 record. In their last test, North walloped St. John's (Shrewsbury, MA), 73-45, in a non-league test.
The Lions now own a 2-2 record. They play next when they host Lincoln-Sudbury for a Dual County - Large test on Tuesday, January 3. Newton South will encounter a Warriors squad coming off a 49-48 non-league loss to Framingham (Framingham, MA). The Warriors record now stands at 2-3.
