The Sam Houston Texans basketball team scored 80 points and held the host Panther Creek Panthers to 56 in the Texans non-league triumph on Wednesday.

The Texans now sport a 14-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Adams for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Sam Houston will battle a Cougars team coming off a 85-67 non-league win over Prince of Peace (Carrollton, TX). The Cougars record now stands at 10-8.

The Panthers (4-15) will now prepare for their contest against Prince of Peace (Carrollton, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 10-10 record. In their last contest, Prince of Peace was routed by Adams (Dallas, TX), 85-67, in a non-league contest.
