Texas High School Basketball - Troy can't hold off Thorndale

The Thorndale Bulldogs basketball team scored 39 points and restricted the host Troy Trojans to 38 in the Bulldogs non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 13-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockdale for a non-league contest on Friday, December 30. Thorndale will battle a Tigers team coming off a 47-40 non-league win over Brazos Christian (Bryan, TX). The Tigers record now stands at 4-12.

The Trojans (14-5) will now prepare for their contest against Lexington (Lexington, TX). The Eagles come into the 3A Region III District 19 contest with a 6-10 record. In their last contest, Lexington was nudged by Bellville (Bellville, TX), 59-47, in a non-league contest.
