The Floydada Whirlwinds (Floydada, TX) basketball knocked off the host Blanco Panthers (Blanco, TX), 46-28 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Whirlwinds (8-7) will now prepare for their test against Lockney (Lockney, TX). The Longhorns go into the 2A Region I District 4 test with a 15-5 record. In their last test, Lockney notched a victory over Smyer (Smyer, TX), 61-44, in a league test.

The Panthers now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they travel to McMullen County for a non-league test on Thursday, December 29. Blanco will encounter a Cowboys squad coming off a 57-15 non-league loss to Floydada (Floydada, TX). The Cowboys record now stands at 10-7.
