Rising Stars Prep Academy Stars (Statesville, NC) backers were pleased Wednesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Enka Jets (Enka, NC), 68-60 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Rising Stars Prep Academy upgrades its record to 2-7 on the campaign. The Stars travel to Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC) to play the Lancers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Lancers come into the bout with a record of 11-5. Legion Collegiate Academy lost 64-49 in their recent non-league bout against Benjamin (Palm Beach Gardens, FL)

Next up, the Jets play the T.C. Roberson Rams (Asheville, NC) in a 3A/4A Conference 53 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Enka will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Rams come into the bout with a 9-4 record after their 63-15 non-league win over Polk County (Columbus, NC).
