The Hazleton Area Cougars basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Marion Center Stingers to 41 in the Cougars non-league victory on Wednesday.

The Cougars now sport a 8-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Punxsutawney for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Hazleton Area will battle a Chucks team coming off a 67-35 non-league win over DuBois Central Catholic (DuBois, PA). The Chucks record now stands at 8-0.
