Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Yough ripped by Hempfield Area

The Hempfield Area Spartans basketball team scored 60 points and held the visiting Yough Cougars to 23 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Spartans now sport a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Seton LaSalle for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Hempfield Area will meet a Rebels team coming off a 51-50 non-league win over Franklin Regional (Murrysville, PA). The Rebels record now stands at 5-2.
The Cougars (2-5) will now prepare for their contest against Connellsville (Connellsville, PA). The Falcons enter the non-league contest with a 2-7 record. In their last contest, Connellsville was routed by River Valley (Blairsville, PA), 71-35, in a non-league contest.
