In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Hibriten Panthers basketball team scored a good 54-35 triumph over the Shelby Golden Lions.

In their next game, the Panthers meet the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, January 3. Hibriten will attempt to better on its 11-1 season record. The Eagles enter the match with a 3-7 record after their 54-36 non-league win over Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC).
