In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Lafayette Lions (Lafayette, LA) basketball squad nipped the visiting Peabody Warhorses (Alexandria, LA), by a margin of 42-38.
The Lions (10-2) will now prepare for their outing against St. Thomas More (Lafayette, LA). The Cougars go into the non-league outing with a 7-1 record. In their last outing, St. Thomas More got by Lake Arthur (Lake Arthur, LA), 51-45, in a non-league outing.
The Warhorses now own a 9-7 record. They play next when they travel to Tioga for a 4A District 2 outing on Tuesday, January 10.
