Arizona High School Basketball - Monument Valley nips Pusch Ridge Christian Academy

Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Monument Valley Mustangs (Kayenta, AZ) and the host Pusch Ridge Christian Academy Lions (Tucson, AZ), saw Monument Valley's basketball squad hold off Pusch Ridge Christian Academy by a count of 44-38.

With the victory, Monument Valley upgrades its record to 8-3 on the campaign. The Mustangs travel to Valley Vista (Surprise, AZ) to play the Monsoon in a non-league challenge on Thursday, December 29. The Monsoon come into the challenge with a record of 3-5. Valley Vista won 77-44 in their recent non-league challenge against Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ)

Next up, the Lions play the Horizon Huskies (Scottsdale, AZ) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, December 29. Pusch Ridge Christian Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 5-6 season record. The Huskies come into the challenge with a 5-5 record after their 48-46 non-league loss to Winslow (Winslow, AZ).
