The West Springfield Spartans basketball team scored 65 points and held the host Sandy Spring Friends Wildebeests to 5 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Spartans now sport a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Saint John Paul the Great Catholic for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. West Springfield will meet a Wolves team coming off a 82-21 non-league loss to Bishop O'Connell (Arlington, VA). The Wolves record now stands at 3-6.
The Wildebeests (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against Model Secondary School for the Deaf (Washington, DC). The Eagles enter the Potomac Valley contest with a 3-4 record. In their last contest, Model Secondary School for the Deaf Barrie (Silver Spring, MD), 0-0, in a non-league contest.
