    The Watertown-Mayer Royals topped the visiting Sauk Rapids-Rice Storm basketball team by a final score of 63-48 in Wednesday's non-league game.

    In their next game, the Royals face the Proctor Rails (Proctor, MN) in a non-league game, on Thursday, December 29. Watertown-Mayer will attempt to move on its 3-4 season record. The Rails enter the game with a 7-2 record after their 62-44 non-league win over New Prague (New Prague, MN).

    With the defeat, Sauk Rapids-Rice moves to 5-4 on the year. The Storm host Dassel-Cokato (Cokato, MN) to face the Chargers in a AA Section 5 game on Tuesday, January 3. The Chargers enter the game with a record of 2-4. Dassel-Cokato won 56-40 in their recent league game against Blake (Minneapolis, MN)
