In Wednesday's non-league outing, the Willow Spring Storm (Fuquay-Varina, NC) basketball squad edged the host Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC), by a count of 68-67.
The Storm (7-4) will now prepare for their outing against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders go into the non-league outing with a 4-1 record.
The Patriots now hold a 2-5 record. They play next when they travel to Franklin Academy for a non-league outing on Thursday, December 29. Pinecrest will clash with a Patriots squad coming off a 50-45 non-league win over Chatham Charter (Siler City, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 4-4.
