The Amite Warriors basketball team (Amite, LA), was nudged 80-74 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Covington Lions (Covington, LA)
The Lions now possess a 8-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Albany for a non-league battle on Wednesday, January 3. Covington will battle a Hornets team coming off a 67-48 non-league loss to Salmen (Slidell, LA). The Hornets record now stands at 11-8.
The Warriors (5-6) will now prepare for their battle against Pine (Franklinton, LA). The Raiders come into the 3A District 7 battle with a 10-8 record.
