With the victory, Avonworth upgrades its record to 6-2 on the campaign. The Antelopes host South Allegheny (McKeesport, PA) to play the Gladiators in a WPIAL 4A 4 bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Gladiators come into the bout with a record of 6-1. South Allegheny lost 63-61 in their recent non-league bout against Elizabeth Forward (Elizabeth, PA)

Next up, the Little Lions play the Carlisle Thundering Herd (Carlisle, PA) in a Mid-Penn - Commonwealth bout, on Wednesday, January 3. State College will attempt to upgrade on its 3-4 season record. The Thundering Herd come into the bout with a 7-2 record after their 76-48 non-league win over Boiling Springs (Boiling Springs, PA).
