In Thursday's non-league outing, the Brenham Cubs (Brenham, TX) basketball squad overwhelmed the host King Brahmas (Kingsville, TX), by a count of 72-41.
The Cubs (17-2) will now prepare for their outing against Lake Creek (Montgomery, TX). The Lions go into the 5A Region III District 21 outing with a 15-6 record. In their last outing, Lake Creek smashed Vista Ridge (Cedar Park, TX), 58-56, in a non-league outing.
The Brahmas now hold a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to Harmony School of Excellence for a 4A Region IV District 31 outing on Tuesday, January 2. King will clash with a Hawks squad coming off a 65-54 non-league win over Raymondville (Raymondville, TX). The Hawks record now stands at 3-8.
