The Bridgeport Indians basketball team scored 63 points and held the host John Marshall Monarchs to 21 in the Indians league triumph on Thursday.

The Indians now sport a 4-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Liberty for a Big Ten contest on Wednesday, January 3. Bridgeport will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 69-36 non-league win over Notre Dame (Clarksburg, WV). The Mountaineers record now stands at 4-2.

The Monarchs (1-5) will now prepare for their contest against Barnesville (Barnesville, OH). The Shamrocks enter the Ohio Valley AAA contest with a 3-5 record. In their last contest, Barnesville was routed by Buckeye Trail (Lore City, OH), 61-56, in a non-league contest.
