Fort Bend Hightower Hurricanes (Missouri City, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Carver Collegiate Academy Rams (New Orleans, LA), 59-55 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Fort Bend Hightower upgrades its record to 12-4 on the campaign. The Hurricanes travel to Fort Bend Clements (Sugar Land, TX) to play the Rangers in a 6A Region III District 20 bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Rangers come into the bout with a record of 18-0. Fort Bend Clements won 47-35 in their recent non-league bout against Westlake (Austin, TX)

Next up, the Rams play the Broadmoor Buccaneers (Baton Rouge, LA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, January 4. Carver Collegiate Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 8-6 season record.
