Georgia High School Basketball - Cook nips Crisp County

December 28, 2023: Adel, GA 31620

Cook Hornets (Adel, GA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Crisp County Cougars (Cordele, GA), 54-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Cook upgrades its record to 3-5 on the season. The Hornets travel to Sumter County (Americus, GA) to play the Panthers in a AA Region 1 bout on Friday, January 5. The Panthers go into the bout with a record of 1-8.

Next up, the Cougars play the Dougherty Trojans (Albany, GA) in a AAA Region 1 bout, on Friday, January 5. Crisp County will attempt to upgrade on its 5-3 season record. The Trojans go into the bout with a 9-5 record after their 54-49 non-league loss to Marianna (Marianna, FL).
