West Plains Wolves (Amarillo, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Cooper Cougars (Abilene, TX), 70-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Plains upgrades its record to 3-6 on the season. The Wolves host Liberty (Lubbock, TX) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 11-10. Liberty won 70-40 in their recent non-league bout against Whitharral (Whitharral, TX)

Next up, the Cougars play the Caprock Longhorns (Amarillo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Cooper will attempt to upgrade on its 7-11 season record. The Longhorns come into the challenge with a 1-12 record after their 61-57 non-league loss to Hereford (Hereford, TX).
