In Thursday's non-league outing, the Hillel Academy (Pittsburgh, PA) basketball squad felled the host Cornell Raiders (Coraopolis, PA), by a margin of 45-34.
The (3-1) will now prepare for their outing against St. Joseph (Natrona Heights, PA). The Spartans go into the WPIAL 1A 3 outing with a 0-6 record. In their last outing, St. Joseph was beaten by Leechburg (Leechburg, PA), 69-64, in a non-league outing.
The Raiders now own a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Rochester for a WPIAL 1A 1 outing on Wednesday, January 3. Cornell will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 64-33 non-league loss to Neighborhood Academy (Pittsburgh, PA). The Rams record now stands at 2-4.
