Portville Panthers (Portville, NY) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Coudersport Falcons (Coudersport, PA), 64-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Portville improves its record to 2-6 on the campaign. The Panthers travel to Gowanda (Gowanda, NY) to confront the Panthers in a Section 6 Chautauqua/Cattaraugus - I East battle on Monday, January 8. The Panthers come into the battle with a record of 1-2.

The Falcons (3-4) will now prepare for their battle against Union (Rimersburg, PA). The Knights/Damsels come into the non-league battle with a 4-5 record.
