East Wilkes Cardinals (Ronda, NC) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Tazewell Bulldogs (Tazewell, VA), 59-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, East Wilkes upgrades its record to 4-4 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA) to play the Pioneers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Pioneers come into the bout with a record of 5-3. Fort Chiswell won 55-31 in their recent league bout against Grayson County (Independence, VA)

Next up, the Bulldogs play the Grayson County Blue Devils (Independence, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Tazewell will attempt to upgrade on its 0-8 season record. The Blue Devils come into the bout with a 2-7 record after their 55-31 league loss to Fort Chiswell (Max Meadows, VA).
