The Forest Bearcats basketball team scored 70 points and held the host Pelahatchie Chiefs to 61 in the Bearcats non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Bearcats now sport a 6-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host Holmes County Central for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29.

The Chiefs (11-5) will now prepare for their contest against West Lauderdale (Collinsville, MS). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 13-2 record. In their last contest, West Lauderdale was defeated by Clinton (Clinton, MS), 52-40, in a non-league contest.
