Virginia High School Basketball - Veritas Collegiate Academy fells Franklin County

December 28, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23320

Veritas Collegiate Academy Spartans (Chesapeake, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Franklin County Eagles (Rocky Mount, VA), 76-64 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Veritas Collegiate Academy upgrades its record to 6-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to Cathedral Academy (North Charleston, SC) to clash with the Generals in a non-league bout on Friday, December 29. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 12-3. Cathedral Academy won 59-37 in their recent non-league bout against Westminster Schools of Augusta (Augusta, GA)

Next up, the Eagles clash with the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a Blue Ridge bout, on Friday, January 5. Franklin County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-7 season record.
