Franklin Broncos (Franklin, VA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Lawrence Academy Warriors (Merry Hill, NC), 51-47 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Franklin upgrades its record to 7-2 on the season. The Broncos host Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA) to play the Bulldogs in a Tri-Rivers bout on Friday, December 29. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 5-3. Brunswick won 73-43 in their recent non-league bout against Nandua (Onley, VA)

Next up, the Warriors play the Nandua Warriors (Onley, VA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Lawrence Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 7-4 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 73-43 non-league loss to Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA).
