With the win, George West upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Longhorns host Karnes City (Karnes City, TX) to clash with the Badgers in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 2. The Badgers go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Karnes City lost 75-57 in their recent non-league bout against Taft (Taft, TX)

Next up, the Cardinals clash with the Freer Buckaroos (Freer, TX) in a 2A Region IV District 32 bout, on Wednesday, January 3. La Villa will attempt to upgrade on its 0-13 season record. The Buckaroos go into the bout with a 4-11 record after their 41-34 non-league loss to Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX).
