Kirby Trojans (Kirby, AR) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Glen Rose Beavers (Malvern, AR), 62-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Kirby upgrades its record to 16-6 on the season. The Trojans host Bradley (Bradley, AR) to play the Bears in a 1A Region 7 bout on Friday, January 5. The Bears go into the bout with a record of 15-1.

Next up, the Beavers play the Poyen Indians (Poyen, AR) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Glen Rose will attempt to upgrade on its 1-4 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 6-6 record after their 64-55 non-league win over Bismarck (Bismarck, AR).
