The South Fayette Lions basketball team scored 49 points and held the visiting Greater Johnstown Trojans to 41 in the Lions non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Lions now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Downingtown West for a non-league contest on Friday, December 29. South Fayette will battle a Whippets team coming off a 74-50 non-league loss to Uniontown (Uniontown, PA). The Whippets record now stands at 5-5.

The Trojans (6-2) will now prepare for their contest against Beaver Falls (Beaver Falls, PA). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 2-3 record. In their last contest, Beaver Falls was defeated by Our Lady of the Sacred Heart (Coraopolis, PA), 51-39, in a non-league contest.
